Admission to Merit Based Courses

Merit Based Courses are those courses which have limit on their intake capacity and hence admission to these courses will be determined by the merit in the Qualifying Examinations(12th Class)
A separate selection list of the selected candidates will be published on the admission web portal. Currently the college is offering only BCA Course as the Merit Based Course with an intake Capacity of 40.
Both male and female candidates can apply for this course.

Admission to General Courses (Non-Merit Based Courses)

General Courses (Non-Merit Based Courses) are those courses which have no limit on intake capacity and hence are open for all eligible candidates. For eligibility please check the Admissions Prospectus 2019 before proceeding with the form submission.
 Note: The female candidates can apply for BCA Course or those general courses having atleast one of the following subjects:

 General Note

For admission in the above courses (Merit Based and General Courses) all candidates are required to apply online on Kashmir Uiversity Registration portal at the below mentioned Link:   Kashmir University Registration Link


  1. All those Students who have passed Higher Secondary Part II examination (class 12th) of the J&K Board of School Education / CBSE, or an examination recognized as its equivalent by the University of Kashmir, are eligible for seeking admission to various Courses of BG-1st Semester for the Session 2018-19.
    However, for B.COM (Gen) programme (for students with non commerce back ground), BCA candidates having secured not less than 45%marks in aggregate in case of open merit and 40% marks in aggregate in case of reserved categories shall be eligible for admission.
  2. The students eligible for admission to BG Sem – I session 2019-20 of BA, B. Sc. (medical/non-medical), B.Com, BCA, are required to go through the detailed eligible criteria and guidelines, contained in College Admission Prospectus 2019 as well as Kashmir University Admission Notification.
  3. Candidates, who have already appeared or are still appearing in 10+2 Examination of JKBOSE or any other Board including CBSE, or have applied for Re-evaluation and the final result is still awaited, can also submit the online Registration Form through the concerned University Information Center of the College. However, such candidates shall have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 500/- instead of Full Admission Fee in the College concerned and also submit an affidavit duly sworn in before the Judicial Magistrate (1st class) to the effect that he/she is seeking provisional admission in the College on his/her own risk and responsibility and in case he/she fails to attain the required eligibility after the declaration of the qualifying examination result/re-evaluation result, his/her admission shall automatically stand cancelled. The candidates who attain the eligibility after the declaration of the result shall have to submit the required certificates along-with the Admission & Examination fee for first two semesters through J&K Bank, after obtaining the bank pay in slip from the concerned College within 10 working days after attaining the eligibility

 Admission Process

  1. Go through the instructions/guidlines given on the Official Site of Kashmir University and submit your online application form at the university website which shall be generated/downloaded on the basis of J&K Board Registration Number only.
    Dear students here your will get a form having form number which is required to complete the admission process at college level.
  2. After submitting your form at Kashmir University, get the College Admissions Prospecuts 2019 which can be had from Admission Section of the college against payment of ₹100.00 and go through the details given therein.
    After obtained the Prospectus, the students shall contact College Admission Committee for obtaining Counselling-cum-Subject Combination form and College Verification Code (CVC) The College Verification Code (CVC) is required for online registration at college admission web portal.
  3. Go through the eligibility criteria as specified in the Admission Prospectus and instructions given on the online admission web portal of college and then click the checkbox ‘I have read the instructions’ at the botton of this page and then click the ‘Proceed for Registration’ button.
  4. Enter your University Form Number, College Verification Code (CVC) and other fields to register on college web portal.
    Note: During registration use your own Email Id and Mobile Number as the same is required for future correspondance.
  5. After sucessfully registering and logging in to your account, upload your recent passport size photograph and submit your personal, academic and other required details very carefully.
  6. Next submit your online admission form choosing the course and subject combinations very carefully.
    Note: No change will be entertained after the submission of Admission Form.
  7. On successful submission of your Admission Form you will get acknowledgement message containing your name and Admission Form Number. Keep record of this Acknowledgement Message.
    Note: For Merit Based Courses (BCA), the students have to stop here till their selection or otherwise is verified and notified by the College. The Merit will be published on the College Admission Portal.
  8. Next you will get an online link to deposit the admissible fee.
    Note: As per Kashmir University guidliness, you need to deposit only the Admission Fee to the College Chest. The Examination Fee need to be deposited to the University Chest.
  9. After sucessful deposition of your Admission Fee, the Bank will provide you a Receipt with a unique Receipt No.
  10. Submit the details of your Fee Receipt on the link provided at your Account Home Page. After your payment is confirmed by the Bank, you will get a link to Print/Download your Admission Form.
  11. Click the ‘Print’ or 'Download' button and get the printout of your Admission Form.
  12. Enclose all the documents as required including the Fee Receipt and then submit the same at the College Admission Section for verification of the documents and the details contained in the form.
  13. You are done with your admission formalities!
  14. The admission of the students is liable to be cancelled in the event of wrong information/ scanned version of Certificates furnished by him / her in the Application Form submitted online.
